Dr. Kameshwar Nath Chaturvedi., LL.M Ph.D Advocate, Supreme Court of India

Started his career as Lecturer in Law, University of Allahabad and later joined Kurukshetra University. From there he accepted the assignment as Law Officer in Law Commission of India and held various positions as Legislative Counsel, Additional Secretary in Law Ministry, Government of India. He served as Member–Secretary to Government of India, Law Commission and Secretary to Government, Law Ministry, Government of India till 2007. He also worked as Reader in University of Pune for a short span. He has published two books and number of articles in reputed journals.
Dr Chaturtvedi has a career in law which spans 36 years in renowned academic institutions and at various strata of Central Government law-making bodies and more than two years independently in legal profession. He has extremely solid and broad spectrum experience in the Indian legal system, with strong emphasis on law making and legal drafting at the highest level. Dr. Chaturvedi supervised the drafting of the Finance Gills from 1995 to 2007. From constitutional amendments to drafting of new Bills, his expertise is most prominent in commercial and tax laws. At the height of his career, he worked directly with the members of the Indian Cabinet and the Prime Minister on key legal reforms, amendments and parliament Acts. Dr. Chaturvedi drafted and supervised drafting of more than one hundred Acts of Parliament. Presently Dr. Chaturvedi is advisor to the Central Government Ministries, State of Haryana, Law Commission of Uttar Pradesh, Statutory Corporations under the Central Government and prestigious corporate based at Mumbai and has appeared in the Supreme Court of India, Appellate Tribunal for Foreign Exchange and the national Consumer Redressal Commission. Dr. Chaturvedi is a member of the Governing Council of the International Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution, New Delhi.
