About
Dr. R. Bharat Kumar is an academician with over thirteen years of teaching and research experience at Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU), Visakhapatnam, where he currently serves as Assistant Professor of Law and holds additional administrative roles including Assistant Registrar (Academics) and Faculty Advisor to multiple university committees.
He earned his Ph.D. in Law (Gold Medalist) from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar College of Law, Andhra University, for his doctoral research titled “Competition Policy, Law and Telugu Film Industry: A Critical Study.” He also holds an LL.M. (Gold Medalist) in Corporate Law from Sri Krishnadevaraya University and completed his B.S.L., LL.B. from ILS Law College, University of Pune.
In recognition of his academic excellence, Dr. R. Bharat Kumar received an International Fellowship to attend The Hague Academy of International Law (2013), held at the Peace Palace, The Hague, Netherlands.
His teaching and research interests span Competition Law, Labour and Industrial Law, Sports Law, and emerging technology law. He has authored two books, edited four books, and authored several research papers and chapters. His scholarly work has appeared in reputed national and international journals on topics such as digital law, social security, gender equality, and legal implications of AI.
