About
Dr. Nageswara Rao Aienaparthi is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Law at Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU), Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. He also holds the administrative position of Assistant Registrar (Administration & Establishment) at the same university. With over 18 years of teaching and academic experience, he has contributed extensively to legal education, research supervision, and academic administration.
Dr. Rao completed his Ph.D. in Law from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar College of Law, Andhra University (2018). His doctoral thesis titled “Breakdown of the Constitutional Machinery in the States under Article 356 – An Antithesis of Indian Federalism” critically examined Centre-State relations and constitutional governance in India. He obtained his LL.M. in Constitutional Law (2013) and LL.B. (2011) from Andhra University. He also holds M.A. degrees in History (2000) and Sociology (2018) from Andhra University, along with a B.Ed. from Acharya Nagarjuna University (2002). He qualified UGC-NET (2012) and AP & TS SET (2014).
Prior to joining DSNLU in October 2024, Dr. Rao served as Associate Professor and Head of the Department at the Bharath Institute of Law, under Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (2022–2024). He earlier worked as Associate Professor & Head, Faculty of Juridical Sciences at Rama University (2021–2022), where he also served as LLM Coordinator, Member of Academic Council, Board of Studies Member, and Associate Editor.
From 2016 to 2021, he served as Assistant Professor at N.V.P. Law College affiliated to Andhra University, where he also held responsibilities as Academic Coordinator and Examination In-Charge. He began his career as a school teacher (2002–2006) and later as a Lecturer in Law (2006–2008).
Dr. Rao’s areas of specialization include Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Environmental Law, Criminal Law, and Human Rights. He has over 30 research articles published in UGC-CARE, Scopus-indexed, and peer-reviewed journals, along with 7 book chapters. He has authored three books, including:

- Social Transformation Through Public Libraries and Legal Literacy
He has presented research papers in more than 50 national and international seminars and conferences and has participated in several Faculty Development Programmes and ICSSR-sponsored workshops. Notably, he attended the ICSSR-sponsored Capacity Building Programme on “One India through Digital India” (2025).
Dr. Rao has significant research supervision experience, having guided 17 LL.M. dissertations and currently supervising 4 Ph.D. scholars. He has also served as Judge for National Moot Court Competitions, including events organized by Bharath Institute of Law (2023) and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar College of Law, Andhra University (2025). Additionally, he chaired a paper presentation session at the Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, IIT Kharagpur (2025).
An active academician and administrator, Dr. Nageswara Rao Aienaparthi continues to contribute to legal scholarship, institutional development, and research mentorship at the national level.
