About

The establishment of the International Centre for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (IC-MSME) at Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU). This Centre will function as a specialized body dedicated to providing comprehensive legal support, research, publications, social-media, outreach, conducting and attending state and international events and policy advocacy especially for the MSME sector.

The primary objective of the ICMSME is to create a dedicated hub that supports and strengthens the MSME sector, which is a vital to the msme ministry
component of our nation’s economy. The centre aims to provide comprehensive legal support, including advisory services and policy guidance, to MSMEs. Furthermore, we plan to develop and offer specialized courses, tailored to the legal needs of this sector and facilitate valuable legal internships for our students through collaborations with various MSMEs. The centre will function in alignment with the policies and framework established by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India.

The International Centre for MSMEs (IC-MSME) is proposed as a solution to this pressing issue. The Centre will act as a legal incubator and advisory hub, providing essential services like policy drafting, company guidance at msme ministry policies, and corporate secretarial assistance. By leveraging the academic and professional expertise within DSNLU, the Centre will empower MSMEs with the knowledge and tools necessary to build a strong legal foundation, ensuring their operations are clear, compliant, and protected.

Objectives

The primary objectives of the IC-MSME are:

1. Legal Research and Advisory: Conducting in-depth research on laws affecting MSMEs and providing sound legal advice.
2. Policy Explanation & Outreach: Creating awareness and clarifying the nuances of national MSME policies for entrepreneurs and stakeholders.
3. Outreach Programmes: Engaging with the MSME community to understand their challenges and extend the university’s legal expertise.
4. International Events: Organizing seminars, conferences, and workshops on an international scale to foster knowledge exchange.
5. Promote MSMEs and support innovators: This center works under the policies and guidelines of msme ministry.

for our impactful legal aid and policy advocacy. We envision creating a dynamic ecosystem by organizing mega-events
and industry meets, connecting legal experts with entrepreneurs, and expanding our support wings internationally to
champion the growth and success of MSMEs worldwide.
