SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Categories of Submission:

SNL-DSNLU, a bimonthly student newsletter, is accepting original and unpublished submissions from the students and academicians of DSNLU. The submissions are accepted under the category of ‘Opinion Column’.

  • Opinion Column – The prescribed word limit is 400 words max. These opinions shall be based on the topics specified by the SNL Committee. The topics vary from one edition to another. The topics would mostly be related to the contemporary legal issues prevailing in the society and the question seeks for the author to choose one side or other or remain neutral.

Guidelines:

Authors must strictly adhere to the following guidelines, failing which the submission would not be considered.

  • The body of the submissions should be in Times New Roman, Font Size 12 and in 1.15 line spacing.
  • The opinion shall be original, and well-reasoned. The quality of the opinions shall not be compromised.
  • The submissions shall strictly adhere to the word limit prescribed.
  • Co-authorship is not allowed.
  • All the submissions shall be made in MS Word (.doc/.docx) format only. The name of the document shall be in the format ‘Your Name_SNL(V_E_)
  • All the submissions would go through plagiarism check on Turnitin. Only a 10% plagiarism would be allowed and any other form of plagiarism shall be strictly not allowed.
  • All the submissions shall be mailed to studentnewsletter@dsnlu.ac.in The subject of the mail shall be ‘Submission of Opinion | SNL-DSNLU (V_E_).’ The submissions must be accompanied with the details of the students such as Name, Roll No. and Year of Study.
  • Only selected opinions will be published in the SNL-DSNLU, a bimonthly student newsletter.

Copyright:

Submissions made to SNL-DSNLU, a bimonthly student newsletter, must not have been published or under consideration for publication elsewhere. The contributions accepted for publication by SNL-DSNLU, a bimonthly student newsletter, shall therein be the Intellectual Property of the Journal and Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University.

Publication Policy:

  • The content should not have any unfounded/unproven allegations against anyone.
  • The content should not have any defamatory content.
  • The content should not accuse anyone based on newspaper reports.
  • The Plagiarism must be below 10%. (The manuscript will be put through a plagiarism check and any sort of plagiarism would lead to disqualification)
  • The author(s) would be solely liable for any liabilities arising out of any copyright or any other such infringement of any rights of any person.
