THE SPORTS COMMITTEE
Our Mission
- The Sports Committee has been founded with a vision to develop the sporting culture in the University. The sports committee took the Sports activities in the university to a new heights and also the committee looks after all the sports related activities in the university. The motto of the committee is to make all the students come forward and showcasing their sporting skills.
- The committee comprises 12 members across all the batches for the smooth functioning of sports throughout the entire year, apart from the committee members, a physical director and a faculty advisor are also appointed to supervise the work done by the committee. The committee every year organizes Intra-Mural Sports competitions, where we conduct various competitions which are as follows:- 1. Football 2. Cricket 3. Basketball 4. Volleyball 5. Throwball 6. Table Tennis 7. Lawn Tennis 8. Badminton 9. Chess 10. Carrom The committee is experiencing huge participation from the student community in all the events and thereby making the Competition a great success. The committee is also responsible for selection and participation in Inter-University Competitions and Sports Fest.

Achievements
**DSNLU Students Excel at NUJS Kolkata Sports Fest with Strong University Support**
Students from Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) made a remarkable impact at the annual sports fest *INVICTA’25* held at the National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) in Kolkata from February 19th to 23rd, 2025. With a contingent of 65 participants, DSNLU students competed fiercely against top universities from across India, clinching numerous accolades and demonstrating exceptional sporting talent and team spirit.
The success of the DSNLU contingent was fueled by the continuous support of the University’s Vice Chancellor, Physical Director, and the Faculty Convenor of the Sports Committee. Their guidance, encouragement, and resource facilitation played a key role in the athletes’ outstanding performance.
Among the achievements, DSNLU secured the Best Runner-Up Contingent title, winning several gold, silver, and bronze medals. Gold medals were earned in basketball (men), volleyball (men), throwball (women), badminton, and multiple track events. Silver medals came in cricket, table tennis, lawn tennis, and athletics, while bronze medals were earned in shot put, long jump, and high jump events.
This triumph has set a new benchmark for DSNLU’s sports culture, reinforcing its commitment to holistic student development and inspiring future generations to excel in all spheres of student life.
- In the academic year 2022-2023, our university participated in an Inter-University Sports Fest, “Magnus” conducted by O.P. Jindal Global University, Sonipat, Haryana, where our university had performed well and was ranked the second best contingent by winning in total 22 Medals including 4 Gold, 10 Silver and 8 bronze.
- Our university has also represented in various other sports fests, such as YUVARDHA (2015), Conducted by NLU Jodhpur and VIRAJ (2016/2017/2018) Conducted by NLU Orissa.
